BoardingFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What makes you different than a traditional kennel?

Shantel’s Wagging Tails provides all-day interaction including Dog to Dog socialization, Out door play time, Ball Time, Basic Training sessions and of course lots of Dog to Dog play. Many “traditional” kennels typically leave the dogs in their kennel most of the day, they may be let out briefly or placed in an outdoor run a couple of times a day. The dogs at traditional kennels usually do not receive sufficient interaction to remain stimulated. Our dog behavior experts designed a thorough interview process to ensure dogs can play safely in a group setting and not have to be stuck in a kennel.

Do I need to make a reservation?

Yes! For overnight boarding, you must make a reservation as we have limited space available. Depending on the time of year, we can often accommodate short notice boarding. Please be aware that holidays book several months in advance.

What vaccinations are required?

Rabies, Bordetella and Distemper. We accept Bordetella vaccinations in the intranasal and injectable forms.

Do you turn away dogs based on their breed?

No! Shantel’s Wagging Tails welcomes all dogs assuming they have passed our behavior assessment.
